Bend it Like Beckham

I love the shape of this outfit. Slant to the left with the top, slant to the right with the skirt. It's so balanced. The black top has an interesting shape. Half shoulder covered, half not. I think showing the arms highlights the shirt really well. I love the layered look to the skirt. Like a fall breeze is within it. Great use of boots to cover up the legs, for some reason I just think it looks better than exposed calves. Though this is an all black everything look, the different materials allow the black to play in different strengths of shine factor.

Summer Heat Meets Winter Chills via Fall Boots

Fall is a transition period from heat to cold and fashion reflects this. The airiness of the outfit is fitted with a pair of brown boots: summer moving into winter.

What really struck me with this Tory Burch number was the great use of colour. Red is a great middle ground to make black and brown work in the same palette. Plus the model's hair also plays into the palette. The single patterned stripe from the black work works nicely into a busy patterned skirt which leads to the simplicity of brown boots. The skirt reminds me of a vintage shawl, especially with the frills at the end.

Definitely a runway look I'd love to replicate.
