Dazzle with tassels

Since I have loved the Lanvin looks on the red carpet this past season, I was intrigued to see their Fall Collection. This look is a great RTW option. I like the business formal meets boots duo, adds a rockin' vibe. Love the high waist which is complemented by the perfect length of the blazer. And of course the tassels, just to add that little something extra.

Oscarmania part 2

You can't talk about the Oscars without the queen herself. I absolutely love when an actress opts for something other than a haute couture gown. There's something powerful about it. Lanvin once again creates this great ensemble. A great combination of classic pieces each with a unique flare. The skirt is sleek and sultry with the slit. The belt brings us from sleek to flowy with the top. All this paired with a great blazer. I like that it is larger and longer to connect to all the pieces. I usually love some dash of colour when it comes to a black+white outfit, but I think the difference in shades of black compensate well for it.

Business formal

Searching through the autumn/winter collection as I take a break from applying to jobs, a business piece popped out at me. This stunning black jacket from Alexander McQueen would be perfect for a networking event. The conservative black is lined with velvet to create an hourglass figure. The bow has a unique element of satin and sparkle. I love the plunging neckline for a modern spin. The most perfect jacket. Aside: with adjustments to the neckline or the right shirt beneath, perhaps the Duchess may try this.
